Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Metal Stamping Press Supervisor to lead our press department and support daily production operations. This role requires strong expertise in servo controls, metal stamping processes, and progressive die build and maintenance. The ideal candidate will focus on improving efficiency, maintaining high quality standards, and supporting a safe, productive, and well-organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Setup and Operation: Program, set up, troubleshoot, and operate servo, mechanical, and hydraulic presses using technical blueprints and job documentation while helping establish and maintain department procedures.
• Precision Tooling: Build, maintain, install, and adjust progressive dies using precision hand tools and standard tool room equipment.
• Quality Control: Perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, and SPC methods to ensure dimensional conformance.
• Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and support consistent production.
• Team Coordination: Organize workflows, support staffing needs, and work closely with plant personnel and management to meet production goals.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in press machine setup and operation within a metal stamping environment.
• Technical Skills: Experience with automated servo presses, tool room equipment, and progressive die build and maintenance. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and work orders with a strong understanding of metal forming principles.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Professional Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, communicate effectively with plant personnel and management, and use data to support decision making and problem solving.
• Work Environment: Ability to meet the physical demands of a standard manufacturing environment and perform effectively under pressure when needed.
